Welcome to Red Slough Hunting Club
Objectives
The objectives of this organization are:1) A private place for members to enjoy with friends and family.
2) To provide opportunities for club members to engage in the sport of hunting.
3) A club of people that abide by all State and Federal laws.
Membership
1) Any licensed hunter who meets the requirements set forth by this club shall be eligible for membership.2) Members shall be selected by a majority vote of the club members.
3) Any child under legal age, whose parents or guardians are members in good standing, shall be an associate member without voting privileges and without payment of dues until reaching the age of 18.
4) Any child, whose grandparents are members in good standing, shall be an associate member with out voting privileges and without payment of dues until reaching the age of 12. After age 12 he or she will have to pay the club guest hunting fee in order to hunt.
5) Any Spouse of a member in good standing, shall be an associate member with out voting privileges and with out payment of dues.
6) Membership in the Club is Limited. The Number of Members may be changed by action of a majority vote on the Board of Directors.
7) Children of any member upon turning 18 shall be allowed the option of membership, with out voting, regardless of the membership limit, As long as the other membership requirements are met.
Board of Directors
1) The Board of Directors of this organization shall be: President, Secretary-treasurer, and 2 directors.2) Rodney Shrouder will be President until he resigns.
3) Charles Sanders will be Secretary - Treasurer until he resigns.
4) The Board of Directors shall be composed of 2 permanent positions President, and Secretary-treasurer
5) The Board of Directors shall be composed of 2 elected directors.
6) Each elected director will serve for a period of one year following a majority election during the May meeting.
7) Two-thirds of the members of the board of directors shall constitute a quorum for business transactions.
8) The powers of this club, expressed or implied, shall be vested in the board of directors.
a) Voting by the Board of Directors will be decided by a majority vote. In the case of a tie the president will receive a second vote to break the tie.
b) It shall constitute the executive body of this club and its action is final.
c) It shall have general management control of the business property and funds of the club.
Meetings
1) The club shall hold a meeting around May 15, and another meeting in September.2) It is the Members responsibility to find out the dates of the May and September Meetings.
3) Two-thirds of the directors and one-half of the additional members shall constitute a quorum at regular meetings.
Financial Matters
1) Membership dues shall be set by the board of directors and are payable by the May meeting of each year.2) If dues are not paid by the May meeting, the member will be fined $25 and given a 15 day grace period. If after 15 days the members still has not pain in full, then his membership will be terminated July 1st.
3) The fiscal year of the club will begin on July 1 and end on June 30.
4) The secretary-treasurer shall make a full accounting of the club's finances as often as directed by the board of directors. A statement shall be prepared, in acceptable accounting form, showing receipts, disbursements, and balance of funds.
5) The books and records of the secretary treasurer shall be open to inspection at any time by members of the club.
6) Checks for all disbursements of the club shall be signed by the secretary-treasurer and counter-signed by the president.
7) All membership dues are Non-Refundable
Amendments
This constitution may be amended at any meeting by a majority affirmative vote of the Members.Bylaws
1) Safety.a) No youth younger than 16, may hunt with out an adult in the vicinity.
b) No alcohol drinking before or during hunting.
2) Guest regulations.
a) A guest is anyone who does not fall under the Membership section of the document.
b) Non-hunting guest's may visit as long as the sponsored member is present on the lease. (sponsored member is the paying member who invited the guest)
c) Club members are only allowed to invite one large game hunting guest per day, 3 times a year.
d) Club members are only allowed to invite 3 small game hunting guest's per day, 3 times a year.
e) Hunting guest's must be escorted in by the sponsoring member, and hunt in the vicinity of the sponsoring member.
f) If a Sponsored Hunting guest is found hunting before the guest fee is paid, the Sponsoring member is subject to fines and/or termination off of the lease. As deemed by the board of directors.
3) Hunting Fee's
a) Large Game are Deer and Turkey. Small Game is anything other than Deer, Turkey, and Water Fowl.
b) Large Game Hunting guest fee is $50 per Day.
c) Small Game Hunting guest fee is $10 per Day.
d) Large Game Hunting Harvest Fee is $100 per Buck, $50 per Doe, and $75 per Turkey
e) Small Game has no Harvest Fee.
f) Hunting guest's will not be allowed to hunt before paying the guest hunt fee to the President or Secretary - Treasurer.
1) Family of a sponsored member is only required to pay half the guest hunt fee.
2) Red Slough is a non-profit organization, all guest hunt fees go towards the purchase of misc. items and reduced membership fees.
4) Shooting Range
a) Our club is fortunate to have gravel pit, which will be designated as the shooting range. The only restrictions are during modern gun season, it will be limited to member's only or hunting guests that have paid the hunt fee and only between the hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
b) Members are responsible for picking up their trash, shell cashing, old targets at the range.
5) Land management.
a) Club members are not to destroy trees. Doing so could result in the club receiving fines!!
b) Club members will be expected to help with brush, grass cutting, upkeep of gates and signs.
6) Disciplinary procedures.
a) All disciplinary action will be voted on, and handed down by the board of directors.
b) The following actions will be ground for automatic termination of club membership.
1) Lending any non-member your gate key.
2) Letting a non-member hunt with out paying the hunt guest fee.
3) Willful destruction of private property on the lease.
4) Non-Payment of club dues.
5) Fighting among club members
6) Any activity that would hinder the clubs chances to renew the lease.
7) Specific hunting regulations.
a) Club members are required to abide by all State and Federal laws, while on the lease.
